Orono junior Tia Tardy clocked the fastest 800m time in PVC-EMITL history as she crossed the line in 2:15.0. The mark surpassed the league record of Aleta Looker (2:17.31) set back in 2012, Looker was on hand to watch the record go down. Tardy’s effort as of this morning was US #2 in the event.

Donovan Savage hit a foul line jumper between two Orono defenders as time expired to give the host Caribou Vikings a thrilling 61-59 victory over the previously undefeated Red Riots. Savage poured in 31 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, as Caribou rallied from a 10 point deficit to pull out the victory. Nick Allen had 12, and Ricky Sheldon added 8 for the 3-4 Vikings.
For the Red Riots, who drop to 7-1, Nate DiSisto led the attack with 19, with Jake Koffman scoring 15.
